Bob's practice is primarily focused on civil litigation involving intellectual property and commercial disputes. Bob has successfully argued cases before federal and state appeals courts. Bob was named one of Houston's top attorneys by H-Texas magazine in 2008 and 2009.

Before forming McClanahan Myers Espey, Bob was a partner in McClanahan & Clearman, LLP where he practiced for eight years. Bob began his law practice in 1998 at Austin’s Brown McCarroll & Oaks Hartline, L.L.P. Prior to law school, Bob worked as an engineer for eight years. He obtained his professional engineering license in 1993.
